HABC Level 2 Security Guarding Course.

Under the Private Security Industry Authority Act 2001, all individuals wishing to work in the Private Security Industry must undertake a recognised qualification before applying for a licence. Our SIA Security Guarding Training is a 3 day course and could lead you to earning over the £25,000 a year mark. We also offer other SIA security training.

We have training centres in Bingley, Bradford, Leeds and York but will travel nationwide for 8 people or more. Please enquire about further training on our contact page.

The HABC Level 2 Award in Security Guarding has been developed to meet the requirement of the Security industry Authority (SIA). It is based on the relevent SIA specifications for learning and qualifications and provides the learner with the necessary knowledge and understanding for those who wish to apply for an SIA licence and work as a Security Guard within the Private Security Industry. 

The Qualification comprises of 3 mandatory units:

Unit 1 - Working in the Private Security Industry.
Unit 2 - Working as a Security Officer.
Unit 3 - Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry.

This qualification can enable the learner to progress onto NVQ in providing Security Services or undertake further learning in other areas of the Private Security Industry such as CCTV Operations or Door Supervision.

Assessment.

Unit 1 - Working in the Private Security Industry.

  • 25 question multiple choice examination paper
  • Successful candidates must achieve a score of at least 18 out of 25
  • Examination duration 40 Minutes

Unit 2 - Working as a Security Officer.

  • 40 question multiple choice examination paper
  • Successful candidates must achieve a score of at least 28 out of 40
  • Examination duration 1 hour

Unit 3 - Conflict Management for thr Private Security Industry.

  • 25 question multiple choice examination paper
  • Seccessful Candidates must achieve a score of at least 18 out of 25
  • Examination duration 40 minutes
